China Airlines will add its latest Airbus A350 from Sydney from December 1 2017. The aircraft is a much welcomed improvement over the Airbus A330 which currently operates the Sydney - Taipei route.
China Airlines began introducing its new long-haul fleet of NexGen 777 and A350 passenger aircraft in 2014. The connecting European destinations include London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Vienna and Rome and In North America, the aircraft's service Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
China Airlines also plans to also upgrade its Honolulu and Tokyo routes in 2018.
These new aircraft's feature B/E Aerospace- Super Diamond suites which are in a 1-2-1 configuration. The design has also been adopted by Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia alike, so that passengers can enjoy direct access to the aisle.
Some of the features of the business class suites include:
180° full-flat seats of 78 inches (1.9 metre) when unfolded, resembling a private bedroom with convenient access.
Oriental ergonomic cushions with adjustable arm rest to expand the flat bed space, enabling a comfortable journey.
Seats equipped with touch panels to adjust sitting positions and lighting by tapping icons on the LCD screen.
The latest in-flight entertainment system with an 18-inch HD multi-touch screen, featuring the AVOD (audio video on demand) function.
A multi-function cabinet containing a 110V power outlet, 2 USB ports, noise-canceling headphone socket and 4.1-inch LCD panel controller.
A video and audio entertainment system featuring Seat Chat function for messaging with your friends and real-time sharing and recommendation of your favorite video and audio.

Business class passengers can also make use of the Sky Lounge. Enjoy a variety of Coffee or Tea blends accompanied with signature snack such as instant noodles and pick up a good read from the on board book shelf.
While transiting be sure to visit the airlines stunning new flagship lounge at Taipei's Taoyuan Airport Terminal 1 (shown below), which takes its cues from Chinese art and architecture to present a “Southern China-style garden" in the middle of the terminal.
The new lounge features a large lounge area, Internet/ office zone, a quiet rest area with day beds, and a large dining area with an impressive tea bar. Additionally, China Airlines has included the essential amenities such as showers, children's room, and naturally fast free Wi-Fi access for entire lounge area.
