It's back! It has been an entire year since we last saw the 'Double Status Credits' promotion, which means you now have the opportunity to fast-track your way to Qantas Gold, Platinum, or even Platinum One frequent flyer status.
To reach Silver status you need 300 status credits, 700 for Gold, and 1400 for Platinum. Below are some example destinations where you could fly business class return and get instant status (based on the lowest discount business saver fares);
Perth: 320 credits
Fiji: 320 credits
Bali: 480 credits
Singapore: 480 credits
Bangkok: 480 credits
Honolulu: 560 credits
Santiago: 640 credits
Los Angeles: 720 credits
San Francisco: 720 credits
Rome: 1120 credits
New York*: 1120 credits
London*: 1120 credits
*Or fly First class on your way home and this will give you a minimum haul of 1400 status credits .. Boom Platinum! Booking directly with Qantas is not necessary as bookings made through travel agents will also qualify. Additionally, it's worth noting that booking flexible fares instead of the saver fares mentioned above can earn you even more Status Credits Here's the low down on the T&Cs:
Qantas' 2023 Double Status Credits promotion runs for only six days, from now through to 11.59 pm (AEDT) on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
You have to register with your Qantas Frequent Flyer account HERE before making any bookings, or you won't earn those extra credits on that flight.
Only Qantas-operated flights (and with a QF flight number on your ticket) qualify for double status credits. No partner airlines such as Emirates or One-world code shares.
Both domestic and international flights qualify for double status credits, although of course, it's the long haul flights overseas trips which catapult your ascent up the status ladder. But every flight counts.
